ABOUT ME
Hello, I'm Laura...
I’m a data literacy and analytics consultant with 20 years’ experience working across the public, charity and heritage sectors. My goal is to make data simple, practical and useful for small organisations that want to make a big impact without breaking the bank.
I started out studying Archaeology and Anthropology before moving into data and analysis, spending 14 years in the Civil Service as a national security analyst. I later worked with DCMS and Historic Environment Scotland, where I helped develop sector-wide data projects and led workshops on the impact of AI in the heritage sector.
I’m passionate about helping organisations feel more confident with data, make better decisions and approach AI in an ethical and realistic way.
Outside work, I volunteer with the mental health charity Health in Mind, enjoy mentoring others, and love museums, archaeology, escape rooms, good coffee, vintage fashion and exploring Scotland.
